Hello, my name is Mallory Troue. I am a graphic designer and illustrator with an interest in marketing. I am currently completing a BFA in Communication Design at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. I am looking for opportunities to make a career in the field of graphic design.

My passion for art and design has been present since I was very young and has stayed with me throughout my life. Long before I had even considered the possibility of pursuing an art related career, I had dedicated hundreds of hours to teaching myself to draw. After I discovered graphic design, I began to notice it all around me. I started to see how important design is in our lives. I was drawn to its ability to communicate and to beautify the world around us. I knew it would be a field I would be excited to work in.

I currently work as a design intern for Arthur Agency in Carbondale, Illinois. I have past design experience assisting with UX/UI design work and auditing websites for SIUC. Additionally, I have illustrated science assessment graphics for SIU Stem Education Research Center. I am the treasurer of the SIU chapter of the American Institute of Graphic Arts. To supplement my design work, I am pursuing a marketing minor. My main career interest is in the overlap between graphic design and marketing.
